Lisa Scannell was raised on the island of Hawaii in Kona, graduating high school at the Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawaii. After completing a degree in comparative sociology at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, she started her adult life with high school sweetheart and first husband, Michael, in Southern California, where she worked with underprivileged children.

This is Lisa’s first book, inspired by her wish to keep her eldest daughter’s memory alive after her life was tragically cut short.

Lisa and her husband, Bill, lived in Hawaii and New England before moving to the West Coast. They currently reside in San Diego, California.
